Getting to the office
The full address of the Old Street Practice is
ONGEA, Willen House
8-26 Bath Street, London EC1V 9DX
The office is on the ground floor and, when you arrive, please text me or phone me so I will come to open the door. There is a waiting area available in case you arrive a little early.
Please note that there are several mental health professionals working at the practice and that, unless you phone me or text me when you arrive, I have no way of knowing that you are here. If I have not received any communication from you, I will contact you to find out whether you will make it to the appointment.
Paying for the first session
The first session currently costs £45. Please pay by bank transfer within 24 hours from receiving my booking confirmation email/text using the following bank details.
Account Name: Therapy with Alessio
Account Number: 20653184
Sort Code: 60-83-71
Please kindly email or text me when you have done the payment and I will send you a confirmation email that I have received the payment.
If you can't make it to the first session
Please contact me as soon as possible if you cannot make it to our first meeting. Please note that, based on my availability, it might be possible to reschedule the first meeting, but the reduced price will no longer apply.
If the appointment is cancelled with less than 48-hour notice, the session will have to be paid in full. If you cancel the first session with more than 48-hour notice, I will refund the £45 fee that you paid.
Unannounced Lateness and Missed Appointment
If you are late for our first appointment and I have not heard from you, I will contact you to find out whether you are going to make it to the appointment. If I do not receive any response or communication from you within the first 20 minutes, I will consider the session cancelled.
What happens during the first session
The first session is an opportunity to expose your current situation, what issues bring you to therapy, and what you would like to achieve through psychotherapy.
I start by explaining my confidentiality policy, and then facilitate the discussion about what brings you to therapy.
I reserve the final 5-10 minutes of the first session to check how it went, if you have questions for me, and if you would like to book 2 further sessions at a time and day that work for both of us. If you agree to do so, I will send an email after our meeting outlining my terms and conditions and the dates and times of our meetings. If you would like to receive a copy of my full terms and conditions before the first meeting, please let me know and I will send them straightaway.
