IFS of ADHD with Ellie Carn and Alessio Rizzo (Zoom Workshop)

This online Zoom workshop has been created by Ellie Carn (you can visit her website here) and Alessio Rizzo to help IFS-trained professionals learn about ADHD, how IFS sees ADHD as a form neurodiversity, its challenges in the consulting room and how to be prepared for them.

The teaching parts of workshop will be recorded and the recordings will be made available, for free, to all those who purchased the ticket (even if they could not attend the live session).

What you will learn

By the end of the workshop you should be able to

  1. Better understand ADHD and Neurodiversity within the IFS framework

  2. How ADHD manifests in therapy and its challenges

  3. How to be with ADHD in the therapy room as an IFS therapist

  4. Support available and resources to consult on ADHD

  5. Connect with other therapists working with IFS and ND/ADHD

Who is this workshop for and entry requirements

This workshop is for professionals with enough training of the IFS model and who have already completed either a Level 1 training, or have taken part in other official training offered by the IFS Institute and its partners like the IFS circle or courses by IFS Canada.

Recordings

All the sections where the presenters (Alessio and Ellie) are leading will be recorded. These recording will be made avilable, for free, to all those who bought a ticket for the workshop (please buy the ticket with no certificate as we will not be able to issue a certificate of attendance for those who do not attend the live workshop)

We will also ask consent to record aspects of the workshop that involve others and we can’t guarantee that this is going to be available after the workshop.

Access to the recordings will be given for at least one month after the workshop.

The workshop will not have sections dedicated to explaining the IFS model and it is designed for professionals who are working with clients with ADHD.

About the presenters

Ellie (she/they) is a Certified IFS L3 Psychotherapist working online. Ellie is AuDHD (ADHD/autistic) and mostly works with other neurodivergent clients, therapists, and couples. Ellie co-presented at the 2023 IFS Conference in Denver, “Internal Family Systems for the Autistic Mind”, and is passionate about supporting fellow neurodivergent therapists and making therapy better for neurodivergent clients.

Alessio (he/they) is a Certified IFS L3 Psychotherapist, trainer and supervisor working online mostly with sexual, gender and neuro diversities. Alessio is on the IFS Institute leadership career path and is introducing IFS to the Italian community. He contributed to the chapter "Embodying IFS with Neurodiversity Clients" in Jenna Riemersman's latest book "Altogether Us" in July 2023.

It is possible to receive a certificate of completion after having attended the full live workshop. To have it, please select the ticket that includes it in the price (there is an extra £8 charge for the certificate).
